You know....something you don't normally see in an art store.
Blind people.
And we had one come in the store today, in fact, he comes in often. He has 10% of his vision, and explained to me that it basically seems like he walks around in a cloud of fog.
So how does he paint, or do art I wondered!?!!
Well, he uses certain bright colors that he can slightly distinguish from others, like greens, bright oranges and other fluorescent/luminous colors. He used to draw in pen and ink when his vision was better, but obviously he can't do tight, controlled, detailed work like that anymore.
I am really curious to see what his paintings would look like......even so curious as to try and paint with my eyes closed. How trippy that would be. I'll let you know if I do it.

Interesting Week
Well, since this friggin heat wave...I had quite a time trying to fit in any painting time. My paint literally was drying on the palette before I could even put it on the canvas, and then when i did get it on the canvas...forget blending! Jeez! I was successful after moving my easel into the dining room and painted in the dark....yeah that was interesting.
Yesterday, I had four clients at Pavia. All deep tissues, but I surprisingly felt fine and did not die of exhaustion when I returned home for the evening. I did however learn a valuable lesson; do not accidentally drop lotion into the client's hair. I felt like James Bond trying to carefully extract the lotion out of his hair, while massaging his scalp so he would not notice. Quite a debacle!

Art Show
My postcards for my show just arrived in the mail today...so excited...seems so official now.

Stupid scanner made it a little blurry, so I'm sure you cant read it very well. I'll be sending some actual postcards out soon, but if you have any q's, just ask.
The show is at The Annex in Palo Alto (on the corner of Hamilton and Ramona).
Artist Reception in June 6th, from 6-9pm. Artwork will be up for the months of June and July.
