On the way up to P'ville, during my 4 hour drive in the rain, I obviously had a lot to think about. Damn weather. Damn traffic.
I noticed some very interesting things along the way.
2 teenage boys playing with a plastic, toy gun. Laughing and joking as they walked down the street....it looked like something out of a movie. But it was really happening....stupid boys.
A crowd of people, standing on the streets corners at an intersection....IN THE POURING RAIN, holding RON PAUL election posters. I mean, I'm all for freedom of speech and stating what I believe in, but I'm not one to go out and preach to the people. That's just me. But these people were out in the pouring rain and wind to simply convince people to vote for Ron Paul. I found this mildly entertaining.
Drivers. You have to wonder what goes through their minds while behind the wheel of a car. It's pouring rain and the traffic is bad. How do you think that you are going to get to your destination faster than the other 10,000 cars on the road when we are going 5 miles an hour. This dude's behind me, swerving off the road to see if he can get in front of me....where are you going buddy? Wow...you wanna get one car ahead? Woopie doo!!!! Frickin' bothers the hell out of me.
I don't know if I am the only one who finds this odd....but when you take a long drive like that...3-4 hours.....and you're almost to your destination....do you ever think how weird it is that the scenery has changed so fast? The drive was long, but traveling is a weird conception to me. Especially when I go home, coz its from city to country and the change is so slow that you don't really feel like you are in different places. I know I am probably not making any sense....but when I get home, it always amazes me that I was just in the city.
